Behind the ACC I pull for the Pac 10, and I dont feel either league got any respect at all. Arizona beats Wisconsin, Washington has already beat Illinois, and currently UCLA is tied up with Bama at the half. The only team that lost was Cal, and I honestly believe thats because Powe had an off par game by his standards.
Well I don't think the ACC proved a whole lot today. Montana was a pushover, and GW is ok, but not a great team. The ACC is very good, but this was a down year for them, and that has to be admitted.
it is a down year...and a down year where they are 6-0 in the tourney...if you go 6-0 in the tourney and it's a down year, you should get more than 4 teams in the tourney every year
GW a pushover who lost 3 games all year,losing three games in a season doesn't make you a pushover in my book. Two of their loses were to ACC schools. Montana beat 5th seed Nevada. I agree however that this was a down ACC year, and in a down ACC year they are undefeated in the NCAA tournament. Not bad for the best then, now, and always.
So who were the next 2 up for the ACC that should have gotten in, and on what basis?
Maryland, who lost at home today in the NIT to Manhattan?
Virginia who got creamed by Stanford in the first round?
Or FSU who may lose to South Carolina tomorrow?

Maryland was thinking about not gettin in the tourney today and not about Manhattan
FSU and Maryland. Maryland didn't want to play in the NIT, which is why they lost. The players voted not to play in it, and Gary Williams turned it down until the AD made his team play it. Maryland had a higher RPI and SOS than bubble teams that got in. Also, everybody in the world knows that if not for bad officiating FSU would've beat Duke twice.
Name one big win for GW all year other than Maryland who didn't make the tournament? Name one NCAA tournament team they beat that got an At-large bid?
you cant be a pushover and win as many games as they did...i dont care if youre in a conference with the worst teams in the country...if you are in any D1 conference who traditionally gets more than one team in the tourney and you win 26-27 games, youre doing something right
They didn't beat anyone that got an "at large bid" they did beat Xavier who pushed Gonzaga to the end of the game. When your talking about GW though due to their conference they dont play many big name teams.
